Aviation sources confirmed that at least 55 flights scheduled between Pakistan and various Middle Eastern destinations were cancelled on Wednesday.
According to officials from aviation authorities, the cancelled flights include departures from major Pakistani cities such as Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. The cancellations come as airlines adjust schedules in response to the security situation and airspace restrictions in parts of the region.
From Karachi alone, 14 flights scheduled to depart for several Middle Eastern destinations were cancelled. These included routes to Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Manama, and Najaf. Airlines reportedly suspended operations on these routes due to safety concerns and operational challenges caused by the ongoing conflict.
Similarly, 14 flights from Lahore were also cancelled. These included flights heading to Doha, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Jeddah, Manama, and Sharjah. Passengers scheduled to travel on these routes were advised to contact airlines for rebooking or updated travel information.

Meanwhile, the highest number of cancellations was reported at Islamabad International Airport, where 25 flights to multiple Middle Eastern cities were cancelled. The affected destinations included Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Manama, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Sharjah.
Aviation officials stated that the disruptions are directly linked to the evolving security situation in the Middle East, where ongoing military tensions have forced airlines to reassess flight routes and operational safety. Several airlines have either suspended services or modified flight paths to avoid conflict zones.
According to aviation sources, the cumulative impact has been significant. Over the past 13 days, thousands of flights between Pakistan and the Middle East have reportedly been affected due to the crisis.
