TEHRAN(The COW News Digital) Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has vowed a swift and decisive response following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian targets, warning that any further military action by Washington would be met with a stronger retaliation.

In a statement carried by Iran’s state news agency, the IRGC said its naval and air defense units had successfully countered a U.S. attack targeting Sark Island, claiming the operation failed to achieve its objectives.

The Revolutionary Guards condemned the strikes as an act of aggression and declared that Iran would not allow the incident to go unanswered. The statement said Tehran would respond at a time and place of its own choosing, emphasizing that its reaction would be both immediate and decisive.

The IRGC also warned the United States against what it described as any “new act of aggression,” stating that additional military actions would trigger a firm response. Iranian military officials argued that the latest U.S. operations have further heightened tensions in the region and threatened broader stability.

According to the Iranian military leadership, the country remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity against external threats. Officials said Iran would use all available means to protect its national interests if confronted with further attacks.

The escalation follows U.S. military strikes reportedly carried out in response to an alleged Iranian drone attack on a commercial vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz. According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the incident occurred on June 25, after which American aircraft targeted Iranian missile and drone storage facilities as well as coastal radar installations.

The exchange of military actions has intensified concerns over security in the strategically important Gulf region, where the Strait of Hormuz serves as one of the world’s busiest energy shipping routes. Rising tensions have prompted renewed international calls for restraint and diplomatic engagement to prevent a broader conflict.

Neither side has indicated a willingness to de-escalate immediately, leaving regional observers closely monitoring developments for signs of further military or diplomatic action.

The latest confrontation underscores the fragile security environment in the Middle East, where even limited military exchanges carry the risk of wider regional consequences. International stakeholders continue to urge dialogue and adherence to international law to avoid further escalation.
