World ( The cow news digital ) Popular Indian YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has reportedly received a serious death threat along with an extortion demand of ₹10 crore, raising concerns over his personal security.
According to Indian media reports, Elvish Yadav received a WhatsApp call from an international number on May 5, which he was unable to answer. Shortly afterward, he allegedly received a threatening message from the same number, warning him of severe consequences if the demanded money was not paid within two days.
The sender of the message claimed to be associated with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and introduced himself as Randeep Malik, a purported close associate of the group. In the message, the individual demanded ₹10 crore from the influencer and issued threats against both Elvish Yadav and his father in case of non-compliance.
The same threatening message was also reportedly sent to his father’s mobile phone, prompting immediate concern within the family. Following the incident, Elvish Yadav filed a complaint at the Sector 56 police station, after which authorities registered a case against unknown individuals and launched an investigation.
Police officials are currently tracing the international number and examining digital evidence to identify the origin of the threats. Security concerns around high-profile social media influencers in India have been rising in recent years, particularly those with large online followings and public visibility.
Despite the incident, Elvish Yadav continues to remain active in his digital career. He is currently focused on his podcast series “PHODCAST With Elvish – Season 2”, where he interviews celebrities and reality TV personalities. The show has featured several well-known figures from the entertainment industry.
In addition to podcasting, he remains involved in music and YouTube projects, along with appearances in reality shows such as Laughter Chefs and the gaming-based program Playground, where he has worked as a mentor.
Authorities have assured that the matter is being taken seriously, and efforts are underway to ensure the safety of the content creator while investigating the extortion attempt.
