Tehran(The COW News Digital)Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the country is facing a broad and complex hybrid war, vowing to deliver a decisive response to any hostile action or strategic miscalculation by its adversaries.
Speaking to local media, IRGC Ground Forces Commander Mohammad Karami said Iran is currently under pressure on multiple fronts, including economic, social, political, and security domains. He described the situation as a “comprehensive hybrid war” aimed at weakening the state from within rather than through conventional military confrontation.
Commander Karami stressed that Iran’s armed forces remain on high alert and are fully prepared to respond to any form of aggression. “Any mistake by the enemy will be met with a decisive and firm response,” he said, adding that Iran’s military possesses the capability and readiness to counter a wide range of threats.

According to Karami, hostile actors are attempting to exploit internal challenges and public unrest as part of a coordinated strategy to destabilize the country. He maintained that Iran’s security forces have successfully identified and neutralized several such efforts, ensuring that national defense remains intact despite mounting pressure.
The IRGC commander emphasized that Iran does not seek conflict but will not hesitate to defend its sovereignty. He said the armed forces are trained to confront both traditional and non-traditional warfare, including cyber operations, psychological pressure, economic sanctions, and proxy-based threats.
His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions following international criticism of Iran’s handling of recent anti-government protests. The United States had earlier issued strong warnings to Tehran over the crackdown on demonstrations, raising concerns of possible escalation and confrontation in the region.
However, some observers believe the immediate risk of military conflict has eased in recent days. A report by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph claimed that the US president has reconsidered plans for a potential strike against Iran. The report suggested that diplomatic efforts by Gulf states played a key role in encouraging de-escalation and restraint.
Despite these developments, Iranian officials continue to caution against underestimating their response capabilities. Military analysts say such statements are aimed at deterrence, signaling that Iran is prepared to defend itself across all domains if provoked.
As regional dynamics remain fluid, Iran’s leadership appears focused on projecting strength while warning adversaries against any actions that could further destabilize the Middle East.
