National ( The cow news digital ) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the attendance of spectators at the final match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 11, allowing fans to return to the stadium for the high-profile cricket event.

The decision was confirmed by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who shared details on social media. According to him, he had formally requested the Prime Minister to permit fans to attend the final match in person, emphasizing the importance of public engagement in major sporting events.

Naqvi stated that the Prime Minister not only agreed to the proposal but also expressed his own desire to see fans back in stadiums to support the teams. Following discussions with franchise owners and relevant stakeholders, the government approved the request, officially allowing spectators to attend the PSL final.

He also extended gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for supporting the decision and noted that the Prime Minister had simultaneously stressed the importance of continuing the national austerity campaign.

The approval comes at a time when the government is managing economic pressures linked to regional instability, including tensions in the Middle East and concerns over global oil price fluctuations. Authorities have already announced a broader austerity drive aimed at reducing non-essential expenditures and promoting financial discipline across public institutions.

Despite these challenges, officials say the decision to allow fans at the PSL final reflects an effort to maintain public enthusiasm for cricket and support national morale. Cricket remains the most popular sport in the country, and PSL finals traditionally draw significant public interest and large in-stadium attendance.

Sports analysts have welcomed the move, saying that crowd participation enhances the competitive atmosphere and adds value to the tournament’s final match. Franchise representatives have also expressed satisfaction, noting that fan engagement plays a key role in the success of the league.
