Kyiv(The COW News Digital) At least four people were killed and several others injured after Russia launched a fresh wave of missile and drone attacks on multiple locations across Ukraine, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Officials said the overnight strikes targeted several regions, causing casualties and damaging residential buildings as well as other civilian infrastructure. Emergency response teams were deployed to the affected areas, where rescue operations and damage assessments remain underway.
Local authorities reported that several civilians sustained injuries, while emergency workers continue searching damaged buildings and providing assistance to residents impacted by the attacks.
The latest strikes come as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues with frequent aerial attacks involving missiles, drones, and long-range weapons. Ukrainian officials have repeatedly called for stronger air defense capabilities to protect civilian populations and critical infrastructure from ongoing assaults.
Russia has maintained its position that its military operations in Ukraine will continue, while Kyiv and its Western allies have condemned the latest attacks and renewed calls for increased international support to strengthen Ukraine’s defensive capabilities.
The attacks reportedly caused damage to residential neighborhoods and other civilian facilities, although officials have not yet released a comprehensive assessment of the destruction. Investigations into the full extent of the damage are ongoing.
The war has entered another prolonged phase, with both Russia and Ukraine regularly reporting attacks, casualties, and military gains. Many battlefield claims made by either side cannot be independently verified immediately due to the continuing conflict and limited access to frontline areas.
International observers continue to monitor the security situation closely, warning that continued missile and drone strikes pose significant humanitarian risks and threaten regional stability. Meanwhile, emergency services remain engaged in rescue efforts and support for affected communities as authorities work to restore essential services in the impacted areas.
