Turkey Unveils Storm Naval Drone With AI Swarm Tech

According to company officials, the Storm unmanned surface vehicle (USV) is designed for a wide range of missions, including reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, surveillance, and targeted strike operations at sea. Measuring 8.1 meters in length, the drone is powered by a petrol engine combined with a water-jet propulsion system, enabling high-speed movement and rapid deployment in both coastal zones and open waters.

One of the key features of the Storm system is its advanced swarm intelligence capability. This allows multiple units to operate in coordinated formations, executing complex missions either independently or as part of a networked fleet. ASELSAN has confirmed that the Storm USV can be fitted with a high-explosive warhead, enabling it to engage naval targets, coastal installations, and strategic military assets.
