Lebnon(The COW News Digital)Hezbollah has once again firmly rejected calls to disarm, reiterating that it will neither withdraw from southern Lebanon nor surrender its weapons, amid rising regional tensions. The announcement was made by Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem in a recent statement issued in Beirut.

Qassem said the Lebanese resistance group would continue its struggle against Israel to defend the Lebanese people, stressing that no external pressure would force Hezbollah to abandon its armed resistance. He described the organization’s stance as clear and unwavering, adding that Hezbollah’s role remains rooted in protecting Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The Hezbollah leader accused Israel of repeatedly violating the ceasefire agreement by carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on Lebanese territory. He urged Israel to immediately implement the ceasefire in full and halt all military operations against Lebanon. According to Qassem, Hezbollah’s resistance is purely defensive in nature and will persist as long as Israeli aggression continues.

Qassem also strongly criticized the United States, accusing Washington of using Israel as a tool to exert control over Lebanon. He claimed that American policies in the region are a major cause of instability, alleging that unconditional US support for Israel has emboldened continued military actions.

Reaffirming Hezbollah’s position on southern Lebanon, Qassem said the group would not withdraw from the area under any circumstances, calling it an integral part of Lebanese sovereignty. He emphasized that resistance is not only a military strategy but also a symbol of national dignity, independence, and the Lebanese people’s right to defend their land.

Tensions across the region remain high, with continued exchanges of fire and heightened military alert on both sides of the border. The situation has drawn international concern, with global powers urging restraint and strict adherence to ceasefire agreements to prevent further escalation.

Political analysts warn that if the current trajectory continues, the conflict could expand further across the Middle East, potentially drawing in regional and international actors. Such a scenario, experts say, could have serious geopolitical and economic consequences beyond the region.

Despite growing international pressure for de-escalation, Hezbollah’s latest statement signals that the group remains committed to its armed stance, underscoring the challenges facing diplomatic efforts to stabilize the region in the near future.
