Pakistan( The cow news digital ) Lahore – The much-awaited 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to begin tomorrow, with defending champions Lahore Qalandars taking on Hyderabad Kings at the iconic Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Fans across the nation are eagerly anticipating the start of the cricketing festival, even as the opening ceremony has been canceled due to security concerns.

Originally, PSL 11 was scheduled to feature 44 matches across six different cities. However, considering the current regional situation and prioritizing national interests, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revised the schedule. Now, 22 matches will be hosted in Karachi while the remaining 22 will take place in Lahore.

The PCB has confirmed that the tournament will proceed without live spectators at the stadium, ensuring that player safety and logistical arrangements are prioritized. “I am confident that today’s sacrifice will lead to tomorrow’s success,” PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi remarked in a recent press conference, highlighting the board’s commitment to maintaining a safe and competitive environment.

Over the past ten seasons, Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United have each won the PSL title three times, while Peshawar Zalmi, Multan Sultans, Karachi Kings, and Quetta Gladiators have each claimed the trophy once. This season promises to be equally thrilling, with all teams competing intensely for the coveted championship.
