World ( The cow news digital ) A shocking incident has emerged from India’s Bengaluru city where a man allegedly threw his 75-year-old disabled mother from the fourth floor of a residential building, resulting in her death.
According to Indian media reports, the accused, identified as Venkatesh, has been arrested by police on charges of murdering his elderly mother, Sawathri Masi. The incident came to light after a loud noise was heard near the rear side of the building, prompting the landlord to alert authorities.
Police officials stated that the landlord, Vikram, who lives on the ground floor of the same building, immediately contacted law enforcement after hearing the impact. Upon arrival, police found the elderly woman critically injured, but she was declared dead on the spot due to the severity of the fall.
Investigators revealed that the accused was residing in a rented apartment on the first floor of the building, while the victim was taken to the fourth floor before being pushed down. Authorities quickly detained the suspect following initial inquiry and later arrested him on charges of murder.
During interrogation, Venkatesh reportedly confessed to the crime. He told police that his father had passed away around 10 years ago, after which he had been solely responsible for taking care of his mother. He stated that his mother suffered a paralytic stroke approximately five years ago, leaving her bedridden and fully dependent on him.
The accused further claimed that he had to quit his job to care for her and described experiencing severe emotional and financial distress. He allegedly told investigators that his mother’s condition showed no signs of improvement, and he felt increasingly distressed over time.
