Washington (The COW News Digital) American political commentator Tucker Carlson has raised concerns over the possibility of a US nuclear strike against Iran, claiming that President Donald Trump could face a decision on the use of nuclear weapons by November 7. The allegations have sparked renewed debate over escalating tensions in the Middle East and the potential consequences of a major military confrontation.
Carlson, a prominent conservative journalist, reportedly claimed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is pressuring the Trump administration to resume large-scale military operations against Iran. According to Carlson, the Israeli leader wants continued US support amid growing political uncertainty in Israel.
The claims, however, have not been independently verified, and no official announcement confirming plans for a nuclear attack has been made.
In a social media statement, Carlson allegedly identified Pickaxe Mountain in central Iran as a potential target of military action. The location is said to contain deeply buried facilities associated with Iran’s nuclear programme.
According to Carlson’s account, conventional weapons may be unable to destroy facilities protected by hundreds of feet of solid granite. He suggested that this could lead military planners to consider more extreme options.
The allegations have raised serious concerns about the possibility of nuclear weapons being used in a conflict involving the United States and Iran. Nuclear experts have long warned that such an escalation could have devastating humanitarian and environmental consequences.
Carlson also linked the alleged pressure for military action to Netanyahu’s political position in Israel.
According to his claims, the Israeli prime minister may require additional political support to maintain his position in government. Carlson suggested that Trump could play a significant role in securing political backing for Netanyahu.
He further alleged that senior US officials, including Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper, have been involved in discussions regarding renewed military operations against Iran.
Carlson also named Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA Director John Ratcliffe among officials allegedly supporting a tougher approach.
These statements remain allegations attributed to Carlson and have not been confirmed by the US administration.
Carlson warned that a further escalation could affect Gulf economies, international energy markets and global trade.
He reportedly claimed that damage to oil tankers operating near the Strait of Hormuz has already raised concerns about the security of international shipping.
The Strait of Hormuz is a strategically important waterway through which a substantial portion of the world’s oil supplies passes. Any disruption to shipping in the region could have significant consequences for energy prices and the global economy.
Carlson also expressed concern about the environmental impact of a potential nuclear strike, particularly the possibility of radioactive contamination affecting water resources and surrounding countries.
The commentator further warned that the use of nuclear weapons against Iran could establish a dangerous international precedent.
According to his assessment, such a development could intensify nuclear tensions involving Russia, Ukraine, Pakistan, India and North Korea.
The possibility of a wider conflict has raised concerns among observers who believe that military escalation could undermine international security and increase the risk of a broader confrontation.
Carlson reportedly said Trump could make a decision regarding the alleged nuclear option by November 7, while also suggesting that diplomatic advisers, including Vice President JD Vance and special envoy Steve Witkoff, may favour negotiations with Iran.
As tensions continue to dominate international discussions, the allegations highlight the importance of diplomacy and efforts to prevent further escalation in the Middle East.
