National ( The cow news digital ) The Pakistan Super League (PSL) playoff stage is set to begin today in Karachi, with the qualifier match scheduled between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United. However, ahead of the high-profile encounter, fans faced inconvenience as online ticket sales were temporarily suspended due to technical issues.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the e-ticketing system experienced heavy traffic on its website, leading to a temporary disruption in online ticket sales. Officials confirmed that the suspension was caused by a sudden surge in users attempting to purchase tickets simultaneously.

The management clarified that the issue is temporary and that the e-ticketing system will be restored shortly once technical adjustments are completed. They assured fans that efforts are underway to ensure smooth access to tickets before the match begins.

In the meantime, physical ticket sales have been made available to accommodate cricket enthusiasts. According to PCB arrangements, physical tickets can be purchased from designated courier company offices located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Johar areas of Karachi.

Additionally, a temporary ticket counter has been set up at China Ground parking area, where fans can obtain physical tickets starting from 12 noon. The physical ticket sales began earlier in the day at 10:00 AM through authorized outlets.

The PSL playoff stage is considered one of the most anticipated phases of the tournament, drawing large crowds and significant media attention. Matches at this stage often attract high demand for tickets, leading to increased pressure on digital systems.

Officials emphasized that measures are being taken to improve the ticketing infrastructure to prevent similar disruptions in the future. They also urged fans to remain patient and use official channels for ticket purchases to avoid inconvenience or fraud.
