ISLAMABAD — Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader and Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has asserted that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will continue to function in the federal government under current terms, dismissing political maneuvering against the ruling coalition.
Addressing a vibrant electoral gathering in Bagh, Azad Kashmir, Sanaullah emphasized that Pakistan remains incomplete without Kashmir, declaring that no external force can weaken the historic bond between the two regions. He expressed confidence in his party’s electoral prospects in the upcoming local assemblies, stating that PML-N is poised to secure strong representation, requiring just six seats for a two-thirds majority.
Highlighting the deep integration of Kashmiris within Pakistan, Sanaullah noted that citizens from Azad Kashmir enjoy full rights and employment opportunities across all parts of the country. He also addressed the ongoing political tensions involving the Kashmir Action Committee, cautioning that while many members are patriotic citizens, certain elements appear to be working on external agendas. In a stern warning regarding opponents predicting the government’s downfall, he remarked that “those counting down days will straighten themselves out, and their countdown will be corrected as well.”
Earlier, while speaking to the media after addressing a rally in Haveli, Sanaullah criticized the PPP’s recurring electoral grievances. He stated that whenever the PPP faces defeat, it immediately resorts to rigging allegations. Reaffirming the stability of the central government, he quipped that the PPP will continue working in the federation on its existing capacity.
Sanaullah concluded by assuring voters that once the PML-N forms the government in Azad Kashmir, local grievances and developmental issues will be addressed on a top-priority basis.
