World ( The cow news digital ) The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Saleh Al-Fawzan has urged Muslims around the world to increase acts of worship during the first ten days of the holy month of Zilhaj, describing them as among the most blessed days in the Islamic calendar.

In his recent remarks, the senior Saudi scholar emphasized that these days hold immense spiritual significance, during which believers are encouraged to engage in increased prayers, charity, fasting, and remembrance of Allah. He stated that righteous deeds performed in this period are especially beloved to Allah and carry multiplied rewards.

Sheikh Al-Fawzan highlighted the importance of making the most of this sacred period by strengthening one’s connection with faith and focusing on spiritual reflection. He said that the first ten days of Zilhaj offer a unique opportunity for Muslims to seek forgiveness and improve their devotion through consistent acts of worship.

The scholar also specifically mentioned the Day of Arafah, the ninth day of Zilhaj, calling attention to its great virtue. He noted that fasting on this day for those not performing Hajj serves as an expiation for sins of the previous and coming year, underscoring its importance in Islamic teachings.

In addition, he reminded those intending to perform Qurbani (sacrifice) that they should refrain from cutting their hair and nails once the Zilhaj moon is sighted until the sacrifice is completed. This practice, he explained, is based on Islamic tradition and is observed as part of the spiritual discipline associated with the ritual of sacrifice.

Religious scholars worldwide often emphasize the significance of the first ten days of Zilhaj, as they encompass major acts of worship including Hajj rituals and Eid-ul-Adha preparations. These days are widely regarded as a time for heightened spirituality and communal reflection within the Muslim world.

The message from the Saudi Grand Mufti comes as Muslims globally prepare for the upcoming holy month, with many planning religious observances and charitable activities in line with Islamic teachings.

Authorities and religious institutions continue to encourage believers to take full advantage of this blessed period by increasing good deeds and maintaining spiritual discipline throughout the month.
