Washington(The COW News Digital)Former US President Donald Trump has once again praised Pakistan’s civil and military leadership, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while reiterating his claim that he played a decisive role in preventing a major conflict between Pakistan and India.

Speaking at a press conference in Florida alongside the US Secretary of Defense and Secretary of the Navy, Trump stated that he had helped stop what could have escalated into a nuclear confrontation between the two South Asian rivals. He claimed that during the crisis, multiple fighter jets were downed, highlighting the seriousness of the situation and the risks involved.

Trump said he has so far intervened to stop eight wars globally, describing the Pakistan-India standoff as one of the most dangerous due to the nuclear capabilities of both countries. According to him, timely diplomatic efforts helped de-escalate tensions and prevented massive loss of life. He asserted that his role in halting the conflict saved millions of people from potential devastation.

During his remarks, Trump spoke positively about Pakistan’s military leadership, referring to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir as a respected and capable figure. He also acknowledged Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s leadership, claiming that both leaders appreciated his efforts to prevent further escalation between the two neighboring countries.

In addition to regional security issues, Trump used the press conference to outline his vision for strengthening US naval power. He announced plans to build a new class of highly advanced naval vessels, which he described as significantly more powerful than existing ships. He also revealed that the United States is currently constructing 15 submarines, claiming that American submarine technology is at least 15 years ahead of competitors such as China and Russia.

Trump emphasized that these submarines would enhance US military deterrence and ensure dominance across global waters. He stated that no rival nation could match the capabilities of the US Navy in underwater warfare.

The former president also highlighted efforts to revive the American shipbuilding industry. He said that new projects, including a vessel referred to as “Victory,” would strengthen national defense and create economic opportunities by restoring confidence in domestic shipyards.

Concluding his remarks, Trump claimed that the US Navy is being transformed into the most powerful maritime force in the world. He added that improvements to naval headquarters and overall military readiness have shifted global perceptions, asserting that countries which once mocked the United States now show renewed respect.
