Following this, non-profit organizations will be able to submit their applications starting January 28, with a three-day window provided for submission. The permits are intended to organize iftar arrangements in an orderly and regulated manner while ensuring compliance with the mosque’s management policies.

The Presidency emphasized that applicants must carefully review the regulations issued by the authority before preparing and submitting their applications. These guidelines cover operational standards, hygiene, volunteer coordination, and the safe distribution of meals to worshippers during Ramadan.

Officials noted that the initiative aims to facilitate communal iftar experiences at the Prophet’s Mosque, allowing worshippers to break their fast in a safe and organized environment. The process also ensures that permits are granted fairly and that non-profit organizations can contribute effectively to charitable and community efforts during the holy month.

Historically, the Prophet’s Mosque has hosted large-scale iftar gatherings during Ramadan, attracting thousands of worshippers daily. The structured permit system helps manage crowd control, food distribution, and volunteer participation, ensuring that the spiritual and communal aspects of Ramadan are preserved.

Non-profit organizations and individuals interested in hosting iftar must adhere to the stipulated timelines and requirements. The authority will review applications based on compliance with the regulations and allocate permits accordingly. This ensures that the large-scale arrangement of iftar meals runs smoothly without disrupting the daily prayers and activities of the mosque.

The announcement reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to promote organized charitable activities during Ramadan while maintaining safety, hygiene, and order in religious sites. Authorities encourage all applicants to submit their applications within the specified timeframes and to follow the detailed guidelines to participate successfully in this year’s Ramadan iftar programs.
