World ( The cow news digital ) Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Atta Tarar has stated that former Prime Minister Imran Khan will be allowed to speak with his children via telephone on the occasion of Eid, continuing a practice observed in previous years.
The statement came in response to recent remarks by Jemima Goldsmith, who had raised concerns regarding delays in visa processing for her sons’ travel to Pakistan. In a message shared on the social media platform X, Atta Tarar clarified that arrangements would be made to ensure that Imran Khan can communicate with his children on Eid day.
He further added that Imran Khan’s children are eligible to travel to Pakistan on a NICOP and do not require a visa for entry. This provision allows overseas Pakistanis and their families to visit the country without undergoing standard visa procedures.
The minister also emphasized that during their stay in Pakistan, Imran Khan’s children would be required to fully comply with local laws and regulations, as applicable to all visitors and citizens alike.
The issue gained attention after Jemima Goldsmith publicly highlighted delays in visa-related matters, sparking discussion on social media and in political circles. Her comments drew reactions from both government officials and supporters of the former prime minister.
Observers note that such developments often carry both legal and political implications, particularly given the high-profile nature of the individuals involved. The assurance from the government regarding communication between Imran Khan and his children is likely to ease some concerns raised in recent days.
