The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that the preliminary casualty figures stand at six dead and 24 injured, noting that further identification of victims will require DNA testing due to the severity of the destruction. Authorities have emphasized that these numbers may rise as rescue operations continue.
Lebanese media highlighted that the recent wave of attacks is part of an ongoing escalation that began on March 2, 2026. Since then, Israeli strikes across Lebanon have killed over 900 people and injured more than 2,100. These operations have primarily targeted Hezbollah positions in response to retaliatory rocket and drone strikes launched by the group following the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader and repeated Israeli air raids.
The situation has sparked growing concern among civilians and international observers. Many residents are fleeing conflict zones, while humanitarian agencies are struggling to provide emergency aid and shelter for those affected by the bombardments.
